We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the Junior Lifesaver of the Year (JLOTY) program! This is a fantastic opportunity for our young members to showcase their leadership, commitment, and passion for surf lifesaving.
Who can apply?
• Current U14 nippers who demonstrate strong club involvement and community spirit.
Why apply?
• Represent your club at a branch and state level.
• Develop leadership skills and make lifelong connections.
• Celebrate your achievements in surf lifesaving.
JLOTY Process Overview:
1. Club Nomination: Interested U14 members apply to their club.
2. Club Interviews: We will be holding interviews on Sunday 14th December after nippers at 11:00 am in the Betty Barry Room.
3. Branch Selection: One female and one male nipper representative will be selected to attend Branch JLOTY workshops, with further possible selection to represent the branch at a state level.
4. State Program: Successful branch nominees are forward for state nomination
5. Awards: The Junior Lifesaver of the Year is announced at the State Awards of Excellence.
Important:
• If applying, you must be available for all dates listed on the 2025/2026 JLOTY program.
• Applications must address the selection criteria as per the attached program flyer.
